What is a good diet for my bunny?

Your bunny’s diet should include clean water and at least one bundle, about the size of your pet, of high-quality hay per day. It is very important that your bunny has enough fiber every day.  We use Small Pet Select hay. On the side, you can also provide a controlled portion of leafy greens and commercial pellets. My adult bunnies eat a 1/4 cup of Sherwood Adult pellet food in the morning and another 1/4 cup in the evening. My baby bunnies eat a heaping 1/4 cup of Sherwood Baby pellet food in the morning and another heaping 1/4 cup in the evening. I would not recommend any rabbit food with soy. My adult bunnies are given a handful of greens every day. Babies on the other hand have very sensitive digestive systems. I usually start my baby buns on a thumb sized piece of greens around 3 months and then work upwards as they get older. Do take this process very slowly and stop if your bunny starts having squishy poop. Your bunny should have access to clean, fresh water 24/7.  Additionally, the occasional small amount of carrot or apple can also be given as a treat!
